WHY?

WHY ? why be cheap

Okay for me there are a few reasons

1. KT is not working the hours that he usually does (no overtime and a few days off here and there) so his checks have been pretty lean. We recently found out that his dad has cancer so that probably means more time off and smaller checks.
2. Gas prices are through the roof here. It's $4.39 a gallon right now.
3.I've been trying to save some money so that I don't always feel like we are broke and build up little stockpile of goods just in case we are. Not doing that great on actually saving cash front but I am getting some good deals and saving money in other ways. Since I'm a SAHM right now doing deals and saving us money shopping is my way of contributing to our budget.
4. We as a family have terrible teeth and spend a lot of money at the dentist.
5. I like to gamble and have enough money that my kids are able to do activities like swimming lessons and sports without totally crushing our budget.
6. Why should I pay full price for something that can be gotten for less with minimal effort. It just seems silly to me.

Hello Everyone

Hi everybody it's time for a new blog. Hmmm what should we talk about this time? I know!! Lets talk about how to be cheap. This is my new thing. Since I'm SAHM with no outside income. I've learned some really good things about saving money through couponing, rebates, survey sites, etc... So I'd like to share some of my deals with anybody who's interested. A couple of caveats about this:
1. I live in a small town so I can't do all the great deals that are available. I've got limited store resources. So you could do much better that I if you care to take the time to investigate the possibilites.
2. Sometimes I am sometimes a very bad blogger. Overly ambitious, I try to include everything and get overwhelmed. This time I'm going to shoot for updates once a week (unless something super special is going on)
